The tuner is a Palomar Galaxy 250 modified to Dr. Bare's book specifications. A large DC fan is added to the top of the heat sink by inserting wooden pegs into the fan. It rests on top . The linear is then fastened to wooden supports. The bottom plate is removed from the linear and a second 4" DC fan is added to the bottom. This helps the linear to run extremely cool.
The ANT jack on the linear is connected to the RTX jack on the tuner with the silver plated coaxial cable. The XTMR jack on the tuner is connected to the output jack on the Uniden.
The 18 foot long silver-plated coaxial cables are looped in large ovals and attached to the back of the wooden cart.
